Sabi Sand Game Reserve’s most luxurious lodge, five-star Chitwa Chitwa truly stands out from the crowd. Accommodation
Spaced out along the waterside to allow ample privacy, each of those six suites has its own plunge pool and private sundeck. Inside they’re exceedingly spacious, with giant four-poster beds, lounges and luxury bathrooms boasting indoor and outdoor showers. Broad windows face the bush, so the game-viewing can continue in your pyjamas. For the ultimate in exclusivity, there’s the private Chitwa House, which fits four. Catered food and ultra-tailored safari experiences with a dedicated ranger await.
Facilities
Chitwa Chitwa’s bar, lounge, restaurant and deck also overlook the lake, and make the perfect place for a laze. Equally slumberous are a gorgeous main pool and a spa providing holistic treatments for the frazzled. Elsewhere, there's a library, a gym and a small curio shop stocked by local craftsmen, while the lodge’s delicious cuisine – local and Mediterranean dishes – is mostly served in a large lakeside gazebo.
Activities
Covering a vast tract and using passionate, quality guides and trackers, daily morning and evening game drives should acquaint you with the Big 5 and numerous other animal A-Listers. Evening jaunts always end with a celebratory sundowner, where you can clink glasses and compare photos. Also included in the rate are cultural excursions to the village of Dixie.
Child Policy
The Chitwa Children's Eco-Experience offers juniors daily bush walks within the camp area, the opportunity to make animal-poo plaster moulds and fun filled shelter-building. Not to mention face-painting, fireside story sessions and marshmallow-roasting. There are two family suites, and standard suites can accommodate two extra beds for children under 12. Babysitting is available.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
