Accommodation

Almost all of the 78 rooms and suites deliver spectacular vistas of Camps Bay, along with a private entrance lobby, marble bathrooms, L’Occitane toiletries and an indulgent amount of space.  Classic Rooms have direct pool-deck access, while Premier Rooms face either the sea or pool from their spacious balconies.  Higher-floor Luxury Rooms have the best sea views, along with five corner-positioned Suites and the opulent Penthouse Suite.

Facilities

The Bay has four pools in total: one main, heated rectangle and then a trio of smaller ‘martini’ tubs.  Elsewhere, the Mint Wellness Spa offers treatments, a steam room and sauna, and Tides Restaurant accompanies yummy modern fare with oceanscapes through floor-to-ceiling windows.  Evening options?  Oh, only the Sandy B cocktail den and Traders Cigar Bar & Lounge, which comes complete with a walk-in wine cellar.  Tennis and squash courts round out the myriad offerings.

Activities

Camps Bay is just 150m away, as is the hotel’s Sandy B Private Beach Club: the best place to admire each day’s spectacular sunset.  Cape Town is just minutes away – a chauffeur-driven Porsche stands ready – and the concierge can arrange tours there, trips to Table Mountain or tasting circuits around the Winelands.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome.  They’ll receive their own bathrobes and slippers, not to mention milk and cookies at bedtime.  An in-room Nintendo Wii console and games can be borrowed.
