On this epic Cape Dune 4x4 Safari you will enjoy the best of the region's natural beauty in comfort and style. Today you will embark on a thrilling adventure in a luxury Land Rover equipped with the latest technology - and experience the remarkable capability of a state-of-the-art off-road vehicle, mastering new skills at the front of the wheel and tackling some of the most challenging outdoor terrains.
With your safety and well-being at the forefront, you will depart on your Winelands and coastal picnic adventure in the company of a trained guide, as well as a qualified and accredited instructor from Land Rover Experience Western Cape.
To get you warmed-up, and before we set off to explore an off-road dune, we start off at Land Rover Experience's home base at Durbanville Hills Wine Estate to hone your skills and learn some off-road techniques on their custom-built track. After a few rounds on the track, you will be ready to hit the dunes and we head off the beaten track, along the West Coast north of Blaauwberg Strand.
You will be allowed the opportunity to pilot a Land Rover Discovery (LR4) in a safe and protected setting along the North Atlantic coast on one of the region's largest sand dune fields. Whether you're a novice or a pro driver, this all-white dune setting will teach you some important and fun skills as you learn to pilot a vehicle across the rugged and complex terrain.
After a healthy dose of outdoor fun and adventure, you will be treated to a luxury dune picnic catered for on the hills by your team of guides while you enjoy uninterrupted views of Table Mountain and Robben Island in the distance. Should you wish to try your hand at sand-boarding, vehicles are equipped with the latest equipment to get your heart racing even more!
The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore some of the unique offerings in the Cape Winelands, including a visit to Spice Route Wine Estate, an artisan playground of endless fun! The Spice Route experience is a completely unique concept, where a carefully curated selection of artisans showcase their produce and wares. The collaborative environment allows for endless discoveries and a truly delectable journey. The Spice-Route was inspired to bring together artisanal food merchants and craftsman of arts together into a space where they could be enjoyed. Here, you will find everything bears its creator's personal touch. From single origin chocolatiers to craft brewers of beer, to glass-blowers, to a distillery and a confectioner's bakery - the Spice-Route has something for everyone. Fairview, a wine and cheese farm right next door to the Spice-Route has masterfully reinvented wine and cheese pairing and the farm produces a line of goat's milk cheeses and a range of wines that combine to impress food and wine lovers!

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
