A day of contrasts that leaves you feeling like you really have experienced Cape Town. Starting with Stand Up Paddling in the heart of the City and ending up looking down from Table Mountain with 360 views over the whole Cape.
SUP the City: There is no-where easier or more glamorous to learn Stand Up Paddling than the V&A Waterfront. With Table Mountain as a back drop you will paddle through one of the most exclusive residential areas of Cape Town and around the prestigious One&Only Cape Town hotel. Other options also include the Camps Bay Tidal Pool.
Table Mountain: On top of Table Mountain you will do a short hike away from the crowds for a mid-morning picnic tea and a unique Africa blend of orange juice, baobab, bashu and Cap Classique our own 'African Bucks Fizz' and one that seems to attract the local Dassies (Rock Rabbits).
Lunch: Picnic Lunch on Table Mountain or at The Grand Café.
A Wild Child Option:
Or, opt for the family-friendly version of the above itinerary, dubbed the Wild Child Stand Up Paddle the city and Table Mountain, which features a fun and engaging Urban Treasure Hunt along the Sea Point Promenade and Tracking Dassies to a picnic spot on Table Mountain.
Lunch at the delightfully quirky and child-friendly, Café Paradiso On Kloof Street is offered (for own account) on the Wild Child Adventure.
The Best of South Africa Travel map displays the locations of the destinations and accommodation that we have selected and visited; for each item, hovering over or clicking the marker will display a short summary and photo of that place or hotel, and hotel pricing. Follow the links in the info box to the full page listing which has much more information.
Note that the online map offers both a satellite view (click satellite in the top right) and, for some locations, a street level view (Drag the person in the top left onto the map). These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.
When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
