Day 1
You will be met at the door of the aircraft and escorted through customs and baggage claim and taken to your awaiting flight to Port Elizabeth Airport. Collect your hire car and drive the easy 2 hour drive to Kwandwe Game Reserve. (Private transfers available at extra cost).
Check into Kwandwe's Ecca Lodge for 4 nights on an all inclusive basis in a family Suite - with exclusive use of a game vehicle, tracker and ranger for the full duration of your stay.
Embark on the first of your game drives this evening, enjoying sundowner drinks at sunset and continuing after dark on a night drive. A delicious supper will be served at one of a number of stunning locations around the Lodge.
Day 2
Children can join the ranger programme over the course of 5 game drives, where your private ranger will teach them everything there is to know about the animals, birds and bugs of the African bush. Each game drive will take them one step closer to graduating with flying colours, and they will leave Kwandwe with encyclopaedic knowledge of the african bush.
Day 3
Participate in the many activities on the Eco-Nect programme including map reading, treasure hunts, a Bugs & Bones walk and baking.
Enjoy time at your luxurious family villa with private plunge pool and wrap around deck.
Head out on the Save The Rhino drive and spend the afternoon learning about the habits of this threatened species, the issues of rhino poaching and get an insight into Kwandwe's very own anti -poaching programs.
Day 4
Relax by the pool after your early morning game drive. Lion tracking is high on the agenda for this afternoon. Mum and Dad can enjoy a couples treatment at the Spa whilst the children are kept busy by specialist rangers.
Day 5
After a final breakfast at Kwandwe, jump into the car and head off on an easy 4 hour drive to the heart of Nature's Valley, just on the outskirts of Plettenberg Bay.
Check into Kurland Hotel for 5 nights on a bed and breakfast basis, in two Elegant rooms.
Mum can enjoy a treatment at the Spa, whilst Dad takes the children exploring the estate on quad bikes, followed by a splash about in one of the two pools.
Dinner can be enjoyed in the beautiful restaurant with fine dining for Mum and Dad and including some great healthy options for the children too. Orders for fussy eaters can be discussed with the obliging chef on check in.
Day 6
Pack a picnic lunch and head off to explore the nearby towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Enjoy a day on the beach, or spend the afternoon flying from tree to tree on a zipline canopy tour. Nature's Valley is a beautiful beach, five minutes drive from the hotel and is perfect for a day of sand, sea and surf.
Day 7
Spend the morning on a boat based marine expedition whereby you will get to see seals, dolphins and possibly the odd great white shark. Spend the afternoon at the pool back at the hotel, and perhaps enjoy a family horse-ride before another scrumptious evening meal.
Day 8
Monkeyland and Birds of Eden are fabulously entertaining for children of this age group and are right on your doorstep.
Day 9
The Robberg Peninsular offers a 7km nature trail that is easily achievable for young children (6 plus), and includes a deserted beach and offers birds eye views of Plettenberg Bay and the great white sharks and seals that linger in the waves below.
Day 10
After breakfast, head off on an easy 4 hour drive to Hermanus.
Check into Grootbos Private Nature Reserve in a 2 bedroom Luxury Suite on a full board basis. Enjoy the services and company of a specialist ranger who will take you on many exciting activities that are included in the room rate.
Day 11
Explore the delightful little seaside town, stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants along the promenade and watch the "dassies" darting around the rocks. Between June and October, expect to see more than one species of whale lurking just beyond the breakers.
Day 12
Today you can hike through a milkwood forest, embark on a caving adventure or enjoy some easy horse riding. Additional activities include boat based whale watching, as well as great white shark cage diving at an extra cost. Horse rides on the beach are also available for confident riders.
Day 13
After breakfast, head off on a very beautiful drive through the Cape Winelands into Cape Town.
Enjoy a lunch stop in Franschhoek or Stellenbosch where you can also pop into a Big Cat Sanctuary, have a gormet picnic or take a ride on a Wine Tram.
Check into The Mount Nelson for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis in two deluxe rooms.
Spend 4 days exploring Cape Town and its wonderful beaches, mountains, wildlife and cultural attractions.
Day 14
This afternoon, weather permitting, take the cable car up to the top of Table Mountain and marvel at the views of the fairest city in the world. After lunch, enjoy a trip out to sea from the V & A Waterfront on a pirate ship complete with pirate crew! Alternatively enjoy the street entertainment, dancing and traditional music around the Waterfront.

Make the most of your last day (and wear the kids out for the flight) by heading out on a guided (gentle) climb up Lions Head for panoramic, unforgettable 360 degree views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. After a late check out, and a long late lunch head to the airport for your return flight to London Heathrow.
