Day 1
Welcome to Cape Town! You will be met at your aircraft with your name on a paging board and assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs. You will then be shown to your transfer vehicle.
You will spend 4 nights at More Quarters in the heart of Cape Town in a 2 bedroom luxury apartment on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2
Enjoy a private tour, or explore the beaches of Camps Bay, Llandudno, Hout Bay and Fish Hook.
Day 3
Enjoy an optional private tour or hike up Lions Head with a private guide. This is a very easy 2 hour family friendly hike that culminates in 360 degrees of Cape Town with Table Mountain as the backdrop.
Spend the afternoon by the pool and enjoy a pleasant walk into Kloof Street and discover all the amazing family friendly restaurants in the area.
Day 4
After your final breakfast at More Quarters, you will head over into the Winelands where you will check into your accommodation at Boschendal Farm, situated between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Check into your two bedroom Orchard cottage on a self catered basis. Continental breakfast hampers including all local produce can be delivered to your cottage each morning or there is a lovely little Bistro on the farm that serves hearty cooked breakfasts.
Day 5
Opt for a private family friendly tour of the winelands, or head into the Stellenbosch area where you can visit a Big Cat Sanctuary, Butterfly World or all have an adventure on a Wine Tram.
Day 6
Mountain biking, horse riding, swimming in farm dams, spa treatments and hiking are all possible from your front door.
Day 7
Today you will head off, perhaps early, with a pre ordered packed breakfast and lunch and drive the easy 5 hour drive up the Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay. Check into the Robberg Beach Lodge for 3 nights, on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 8
Visit the Knysna Elephant Park, Monkeyland and Birds of Eden in the morning, with a stop for a delicious fresh fish and chip lunch. Continue your adventure in the afternoon with a zipline canopy tour or a segway if the children are 10+.
Day 9
Enjoy a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon (optional excursion) or discover the unspoilt Robberg Peninsular, visible from your hotel, with a range of family friendly hiking options. Forest bike rides and boardway walks are also available in the area. Robberg Beach Lodge is located right over a quiet road from a lovely wide sandy beach.
Day 10
Leave the delights of Plettenberg Bay behind this morning, and drive the 3 hours to Hillsnek Safari Lodge.
Check into Hillsnek Safari Lodge for 3 nights in a luxury tent on an all inclusive basis.
Enjoy a lunch on the deck and spend some time relaxing by the pool before heading off on your late afternoon game drive.
Day 11
After an early wake up call, enjoy the sights and sound of the bush coming alive on your early morning game drive. Stop at a water hole and enjoy a well earned hot drink and a few snacks before returning to the lodge for a hearty cooked breakfast. Enjoy some R n R in your luxury tent, or enjoy guided bush walks with your guide and tracker.
Day 12
Early morning game drive, following by breakfast and a walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. Spend the day relaxing until you head out on your final afternoon game drive.
Day 13
This morning you can enjoy your final sunrise game drive before heading back off to Port Elizabeth airport for your short flight (not included in the package price) back to Cape Town for your return flights.
