Small enough to make you feel at home, but vast enough to leave you discovering more each day, Madikwe Safari Lodge is really a great South African Holiday location.
At the centre of this gorgeous reserve sits Kopana Lodge – described as the true gem of Madikwe Safari lodge. A more private lodge than the other accommodation on the farm, Kopana means “small gathering” in Tswana and that’s exactly what this lodge is. It aims to provide the perfect place for small gatherings with its beautifully appointed open plan lounge and dining area.
Accommodation
Kopana Lodge boasts four incredibly luxurious suites each with ensuite bathrooms and remarkable space that allows you to really unwind without constraints. Privacy reaches its pinnacle here as each suite features its own plunge pool and deck – the perfect place from which to watch the sun set over the wild savanna.
Like the other lodges at Madikwe Safari Lodge, Kopana was designed in a way that the lodge seems part of the nature that surrounds it in an effort to be unobtrusive. The same design aesthetics have been applied to the suits as natural fabrics, tones and textures are used to highlight the great African bush. Combine this with sumptuous luxury and you’ll have your own extravagant corner of the African bushveld.
Facilities
Facilites at Kopana include indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as a library, lounge and boma. Guests can also enjoy private luxurious spa treatments in the comfort of their own suites.
Child Policy
No children under the age of 16 years old are allowed at Kopana Lodge.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
We have just come back from a wonderful 7 night break to South Africa. We were incredibly well looking after from the second we stepped off the plane, by a lovely representative of Best of South Africa Travel - who met us and escorted us through customs and immigration literally behind the pilots. It was very efficient, and we felt very sorry for everyone else who had to queue for at least an hour! We didn’t want to hire a car and drive ourselves, so we had private transfers to two amazing game lodges, Marataba Safari Lodge and Madikwe Kopano. Best of SA Travel arranged a bush dinner for my husbands 70th birthday which was very special and a real treat to have supper out in the middle of the bush with candles and lanterns lighting up the tables. All in all we had a most wonderful time and plan to go back and do Cape Town and Winelands in 2018. We will definitely book with Ash and her team again, we felt very well looked after from start to finish.
