Tucked away amongst trees on the top of a hill, Bukela Lodge commands uninterrupted views over Amakhala Game Reserve. This lodge is for the discerning traveler and is a celebration of natural African simplicity with an emphasis on style and comfort. The perfect place from where to set off on a day of adventure and Big Five viewing, Bukela Lodge places guests in the heart of the great bushveld of the malaria-free Eastern Cape, and just a few hours further up the coast from the Garden Route.
Accommodation
Guests can choose between two kinds of suites at Bukela Lodge, either the King or Twin suites. These lavish havens perfectly compliment the wide open spaces of the great outdoors.
The suites enjoy privacy and intimacy, separated from the main lodge with wooden walkways that meander through the trees and natural bushveld, making you feel like you’re really living in your own little village in the African bush.
Each suite is equipped with the mod-cons one would expect from a safari lodge of this high caliber. From spa baths that overlook the bushveld below to decks that allow you to catch the explosive red rays across the skies at sunset. Guess will also be spoilt with a fireplace as well as underfloor heating and an indoor and outdoor shower.
These thatched roofed and high ceilinged suites make for the perfect oasis after a day of bushwalks and safaris. Enrobe yourself in sumptuous linens with nothing stirring except the call of the hyena or the distant roar of a lion.
Facilities
Bukela boasts a gorgoues pool that opens onto a deck from which guests can soak up the warm Eastern Cape sun. Besides safaris, bush walks and sunset cruises down the Bushmans River with sundowner in hand, guests can also enjoy traditional braais or scrumptious dinners in the boma at night.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
