Accommodation
Stay in one of those individually-decorated suites and you can enjoy a private balcony, oodles of space, bathtubs, underfloor bathroom heating, air-conditioning, wi-fi, iPod docks, 42-inch LCD flatscreen TVs, extra-length king-size beds and, most importantly, a real sanctuary of peace and quiet. Style-wise, expect duck-down duvets, soft, silky cushions and lots of beige and cream shades. There are five Superior suites and four Deluxe suites, the latter’s interleading doors making them ideal for families.
Facilities
AtholPlace specialises in spaces: places to sit, snooze or sunbathe, places to chat or chow. There’s the cosy, well-stocked library and its romantic fireplace. There’s the intimate bar. There’s the heated pool, surrounded by a large wooden deck and chaises-longues. There are the lush, tree-lined gardens, where meals can be scoffed. Activities
Nearby Sandton Central mall offers world-class shopping to suit everyone’s needs, while Sandton station has direct airport links. Further afield – the main freeway into central Johannesburg is under a kilometre away – are the stylish Maboneng district, shopping on Diagonal Street or an experience of jol (South Africa’s equivalent of craic) in Braamfontein’s trendy bars.
Child Policy
AtholPlace prides itself on looking after kids, with all ages welcome. Along with those Deluxe suites, the segregated AtholPlace Villa can accommodate eight people, and comes with its own chef, butler and pool

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
